Accelerating our Dividend to Promote Economic Stability in Louisiana
LWCC’s promise to Louisiana is safety, security, stability; stewardship. Today, we find the world in difficult and unprecedented times. But we also see Louisiana citizens and businesses showing optimism and resilience. On March 23, the company announced it was accelerating the distribution of the annual policyholder dividend to help alleviate some of the economic impacts of COVID-19 to the heart of the Louisiana economy, our policyholders.
We have worked tirelessly to ensure that more than 20,000 Louisiana-owned businesses receive $86 million in LWCC policyholder dividends to make a difference for over 165,000 Louisiana citizens, the workers covered by our policies. This is made possible by our agent partners’ sound counsel to policyholders, our policyholders’ continued commitment to safety and wellness, and our own employees’ dedication to excellence in execution.
LWCC is proud to serve only Louisiana businesses. As a mutual insurance company, we are owned by our policyholders and through sound financial stewardship we have been able to distribute significant returns. The dividend is cash our policyholders can use for any purpose without any strings attached. Policyholders improve their businesses, bettering not only their workers’ environments but the Louisiana economy as a whole.
Today, we are especially proud to be LWCC. We are constantly working to serve and elevate Louisiana, one business and one worker at a time.
