GET TO KNOW
Kitty Gauthreaux
Kitty finds personal and professional fulfillment in helping others. From improving audit processes to volunteering with local nonprofits, she strives to leave a positive impact everywhere she goes and with every person she encounters.
A History of Service
In 1993, shortly after LWCC first opened its doors, Kitty Gauthreaux began working in the file room. Thirty years later, that file room is gone, but Kitty remains as dedicated as ever. Louisiana Loyal to her core, Kitty has found a place in LWCC that allows her to pursue her passions of helping people, navigating solutions, and having a genuinely meaningful impact through her work. Over the past three decades, she has worked in various capacities, but her current position as a premium auditor is the most fitting yet. After all, when it comes to providing workers’ comp solutions, there are few tasks as important as ensuring policyholders only pay for the coverage they need.
Top-Tier Auditor
While Kitty may have found her career in workers’ compensation, she found her true home in the Audit department of LWCC. Here, it wasn’t just about a policy; it was about the people, both those she worked with and those she worked for. It’s an environment she never wants to leave. “I love what I do, and I love the people,” says Kitty. “I hope to continue to advance in the audit department. I want to stay here until I retire.”
Kitty’s co-workers praise her dedication, incredible wealth of knowledge, and constant commitment to improvements within the audit department. Her expertise has not only helped countless Louisiana businesses protect their workers, but it has also helped guide the development of new tools and processes for the benefit of all LWCC policyholders. Whether helping IT test and implement a new online audit system or diving into audits for the legal department, her goal is always to find a solution and leave things better than she found them.
Louisiana Loyal. Always.
Kitty’s most fulfilling moments always seem to come when she’s helping others. Her proudest achievements at LWCC are those that have allowed her to have a greater impact on the organization and improve its services, but her commitment to making things better doesn’t stop with her work projects. Internally, she is involved in initiatives celebrating agent partners and the Louisiana Loyal Service Project. Outside of LWCC, she supports local businesses, sports teams, and charities like the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank and St. Vincent De Paul.
