Uninsured contract or subcontract labor that is considered in your trade, business or occupation is includable for workers’ compensation. To be excluded, each contractor or subcontractor will need to show proof of workers’ compensation coverage at the time they worked for you. Certificates of Insurance showing you as the certificate holder should be provided by each contractor/subcontractor before they begin working for you. You can verify coverage is still active at any time by checking the Workers’ Compensation Verification System at https://www.ewccv.com/cvs/ or by calling the agency number listed on the Certificate of Insurance.
