LWCC encourages the use of a formal drug-testing policy, signed by your employees. With a signed, written policy in place, a claim may not be paid if the accident occurs because of drug use. LWCC has created a sample policy to guide the development of a policy within your workforce.
The sample policy, available for download below, is intended to provide all employees with a clear definition of unacceptable behavior and the disciplinary actions that result as a violation of the policy. The sample policy provides the guidelines under which every employee is required to submit to drug and/or alcohol testing following any on the job accident which causes injury to the employee or a fellow employee, or which causes property damage.
