Thank you for registering for the Louisiana Loyal Service Project benefiting the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank! To ensure you have all the information you need to fully engage, we've prepared a Volunteer Checklist below that includes important information for your opportunity.

STEP 1
Complete your Digital Volunteer Waiver
Participation waivers are required for all participants including significant others and children age 4+ joining us for Family Night. Please complete the waiver in advance here: brfoodbank.org/waiver/
STEP 2
Review what to wear for your volunteer opportunity
Closed toes shoes are mandatory for all shifts.
Please also wear your Louisiana Loyal Service Project t-shirt, which can be picked up* at the conclusion of the Kickoff Event from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM on August 30 at the Foster Learning Center at LWCC.
*If you are not able to attend the Kickoff Event, t-shirts will be available at individual volunteer events.
STEP 3
Learn where you should report and what you should be prepared to do for your volunteer opportunity
Meeting locations for shifts vary – please see the schedule below for meeting locations and what you can expect to do during your shift.
Tuesday, Sept 13
Warehouse Support Shift 3 (NEW): 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Meet at GBRFB, 10600 S. Choctaw Dr, Baton Rouge, LA 70815
- Volunteers will serve in the repack room of the warehouse and will separate food into assigned categories to prepare for distribution.
Wednesday, Sept 14
Warehouse Support Shift 1: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Meet at GBRFB, 10600 S. Choctaw Dr, Baton Rouge, LA 70815
- Volunteers will serve in the repack room of the warehouse and will separate food into assigned categories to prepare for distribution.
Thursday, Sept 15
Warehouse Support Shift 2: 8:00 AM - Noon
Meet at GBRFB, 10600 S. Choctaw Dr, Baton Rouge, LA 70815
- Volunteers serve in the repack room of the warehouse and will separate food into assigned categories to prepare for distribution.
Family Night at Warehouse: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Meet at GBRFB, 10600 S. Choctaw Dr, Baton Rouge, LA 70815
- Children 4+ can join their family in a child-friendly sorting and packing shift. No forklifts or other machinery is operated at this shift.
STEP 4
Keep an eye on your inbox
Upon registration, confirmation emails with calendar invitations will be sent automatically.
You will also receive reminder emails the week before your volunteer shifts from your shift lead. **Please note that reminder email from the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank requires no additional action on your end.
