WE HAVE ALWAYS BEEN LOUISIANA LOYAL

Since our inception 30 years ago, we have been leading a movement to celebrate and elevate Louisiana.

We did this first through a strong focus on excellence in execution in workers’ comp, serving the businesses and injured workers across the state. But we knew we could do more.  In 2020 we officially launched Louisiana Loyal, guiding the pursuit of our purpose to help Louisiana thrive. LWCC continues to launch innovative new initiatives to elevate Louisiana and seeks to inspire others to do the same.

Our journey

1991

Louisiana Workers’ Compensation Corporation (LWCC), a private, nonprofit mutual insurance company, is created.

1992

1993

The original debt was paid in full in under two years.

1995

OMNET® was created, partnering with healthcare providers to create the state’s first and largest managed-care network to best serve injured workers.

1997

LWCC was deemed tax exempt by a federal amendment as part of the Taxpayer Relief Act of 1997.

1999

The Louisiana Legislature passes a package of legislation that established the procedures to remove the full faith and credit of the state, ensuring long-term stability.
