Helping businesses thrive – Safely and securely.
Identifying Solutions to Elevate Louisiana
We see Louisiana Loyal take many forms. For Jeremy Schmitt and the LWCC IT department, their remarkable response to COVID-19 and continued prioritization of safety and security, supports LWCC’s ability to thrive and serve over 20,000 Louisiana businesses at the highest level.
“Our department has come together in many ways to all work towards the same goal of elevating Louisiana through everything we do. I enjoy being a part of the bigger picture and knowing that my work and actions are helping to make a difference in people’s lives throughout the state of Louisiana,” says Jeremy.
Helping Business Thrive—Safely and Securely
Remote work and increased digital demands presented both new opportunities and challenges. At the onset of the pandemic, LWCC was able to navigate a transition from our normal office work environment to working remotely—seemingly overnight. Even while meeting the demands of remote work, the IT team continued to launch and support digital solutions for employees, agent partners, policyholders, injured workers, and providers across the state, while maintaining a focus on connectivity and cyber security.
“With the shift in technology and our focus on being connected 24/7, our IT department becomes more of a necessity than ever before. To give our stakeholders access to information from anywhere they may be, we need to architect versatile solutions that can fill these needs. My team’s focus is to keep LWCC systems up and running. Critical applications like email and policy administration systems need to be functioning for our company to continue seamless operations," says Jeremy.
Jeremy understands that technology infrastructure is vital to LWCC’s ability to provide the level of service that’s earned our great reputation in Louisiana—even more so while the pandemic was peaking. Jeremy has a role in determining what tasks are most urgent and planning how to execute them. No matter the task, the IT department’s work serves an incredible purpose: keeping businesses running smoothly and critical information safe.
